One of the biggest challenges that our globe suffers is climate change. This phenomenon, except of the environmental damage that it creates, also creates political and social problems for the biggest part of the planet. Many important issues are caused by climate change and one of them is climate-induced displacement. By this term we refer to people who may be forced to move from their environment because it is not safe anymore due to climate change (Perch-Nielsen et al., 2008). This affects mostly small island states that are threatened by rising sea levels and extreme weather conditions.
