Senior Researchers

Ioannis N. Konstantopoulos is a PhD candidate in Geopolitics at National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), with a doctoral dissertation titled: “Geopolitical Analysis of the Geopolitical Theories of Air Power by George T. Rener and Alexander P. de Seversky, as well as the Approaches of Other Contributors of the Anglo-Saxon School, and Their Geostrategic Value in Historical and Contemporary Context.” He holds an LLB (Honours) in Law from London Metropolitan University, an LLM in International Law from London Metropolitan University, an MBA (Honours) in Global Marketing Management from École Supérieure de Gestion (ESG), and a Master’s degree in Geopolitics from NKUA. For more than three years, he served as a scientific researcher at the Center for Security Studies (KEMEA), producing 14 specialized publications. From 2012 to 2019, he was a scientific associate at the Hellenic Center for European and International Analyses (HEL.C.E.I.A.), while also collaborating with the magazine Foreign Affairs: The Hellenic Edition. Since 2013, he has been a permanent contributor to the journal Strategy. He has extensive teaching experience, delivering numerous lectures in the undergraduate and postgraduate Geopolitics programs of the Department of Turkish Studies and Modern Asian Studies at NKUA, in the postgraduate program Cryptography, Security and Information Systems at the Hellenic Military Academy, and in the postgraduate program M.S. in Energy at the Texas A&M Energy Institute. In addition, he has authored five academic publications in the scientific journal Civitas Gentium and participated as a member of the writing teams for the collective volumes: “Hellenism in the 21st Century: Towards the Search for a National Strategic Doctrine” and “I. Th. Mazis, The Truth of Reason and Knowledge: Verified Geopolitical Models through Systemic Geopolitical Analysis.” He is fluent in English. Read all the analyses
