He was born in 1980 in Heraklion (Crete) and in 1998 entered the Hellenic Army Academy, from which he graduated in 2002 as a Second Lieutenant (Infantry). Throughout his military career he  served in numerous Special Forces, Infantry and Levy Units, not only in Greece but also abroad (Kosovo and Cyprus Republic). He attended many military courses in Greece and the U.S.A. and served as an instructor in the Hellenic Airborne School and the Hellenic Infantry School. He was a Static Line and Military Free Fall (Skydiving) Parachutist and he was nominated with several Army ethical awards and medals.\r\nHe holds a Master of Arts in \u00abGovernance, Development and Security in the Mediterranean\u00bb of the Department of Mediterranean Studies of the University of the Aegean, which he obtained having received a scholarship form the Hellenic Army General Staff (H.A.G.S.). In May 2019 he participated as a lecturer at the Mare Nostrum X conference conducted by the Center of Study of Mediterranean-Middle East Policy and Civilization (\u039a\u0395.\u039c.\u039c\u0395.\u03a0.), while several of his articles have been published in the \u00abMilitary Inspection\u00bb (\u03a3\u03c4\u03c1\u03b1\u03c4\u03b9\u03c9\u03c4\u03b9\u03ba\u03ae \u0395\u03c0\u03b9\u03b8\u03b5\u03ce\u03c1\u03b7\u03c3\u03b7) magazine of H.A.G.S. and the \u00abHellas, Europe and the World\u00bb (\u0397 \u0395\u03bb\u03bb\u03ac\u03b4\u03b1, \u03b7 \u0395\u03c5\u03c1\u03ce\u03c0\u03b7 \u03ba\u03b1\u03b9 \u03bf \u039a\u03cc\u03c3\u03bc\u03bf\u03c2) scientific magazine of the Research Unit for the European and the International Policy of the Department of Mediterranean Studies.\r\n\r\nHe possesses a Certificate of Proficiency in English of Cambridge University and in his leisure time enjoys reading, fishing, collecting coins and paper coins, listening to music and working out. Graduate of the Department of Economics of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, holder of a master\u2019s degree in Geopolitical Analysis, Geostrategic Synthesis and in Defense and International Security Studies, as well as holder of a second master\u2019s degree in Strategic Management and Competitiveness also from the\r\nNational and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Furthermore, he has participated in numerous seminars and scientific conferences that address issues of geopolitics, economics, geoeconomics and international security. His research interests focus on international economic relations between states, macroeconomic and comparative analysis of state economies, the history of economic theories and economic history, and geopolitics. He has completed undergraduate studies at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, School of Political Sciences, as a scholar of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Hellenic Republic. During the academic year 2015\/16 he attended Goethe University in Frankfurt as an exchange student, reading for postgraduate modules in Sociology of Financial Markets, Research Design, Banking in the New Normal and Big Data Technologies. \u0397e worked as a marketing consultant for Belgrade-based microenterprise and as a guest economic analyst for Radio Belgrade 1, covering a number of events of critical importance for the world economy, including Greek crisis, bail-in in Cyprus and macroeconomic developments in European Monetary Union. Currently Dragan follows Postgraduate Specialization Program in Political History and Strategic Studies at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. His research work mainly focuses on the interplay between political and investment risk, with the emphasis on elevated possibility of conducting political warfare when both risks are high. Other research interests include: Monetary Policy Strategy, Commercial Banking, Sociological and Political Perspectives of Big Data, Artificial Intelligence Policy. From 2012 to 2019, he was a scientific associate at the Hellenic Center for European and International Analyses (HEL.C.E.I.A.), while also collaborating with the magazine Foreign Affairs: The Hellenic Edition.
